Holiday musical drama is set in Nazi Germany

"A Secret Holiday," by Mark Andrew Beachy - founder and artistic director of the Baltimore Children's Theatre and its new, grown-up offshoot, the Baltimore Theatre - opens tomorrow at the Howard County Center for the Arts. Set in Germany on the eve of World War II, the play, which also features original music, tells the story of a Christian family that hides a Jewish family during the holidays.

Under Beachy's direction, the cast includes Mo Dutterer, Ben Engle, Thomas Engle, Kathy Hale, Annie Shenton, Kathy Sladek and Kimberly Willes.

Show times at the Howard County Center, 8510 High Ridge Road, Ellicott City, are 7:30 p.m. tomorrow, Saturday, Dec. 14, 15 and 16, with matinees at 2 p.m. Dec. 10 and 17, and 4 p.m. Dec. 16. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and children. Call 410-203-1757.
