December 06, 2000|BY A SUN STAFF WRITER

Two men and a teen-age boy were arrested after four employees of a Goodwill Industries store in Northeast Baltimore were robbed at gunpoint yesterday.

Agent Martin Bartness, a police spokesman, said three males entered the basement of the store in the 3400 block of Belair Road about 3 p.m. and robbed the employees of cash and cell phones. They then ordered one of the victims to summon the manager.

But before the manager entered the basement, the front doorbell sounded, causing the trio to run from the store, Bartness said.

He said police learned three suspects were in a house in the 3000 block of Brendan Ave. Officers arrested three Baltimore males there - ages 26, 23 and 16. Police recovered the missing property but no weapons, Bartness said.

Police were withholding the identities of the suspects unitil robbery and handgun charges were filed.
