Baltimore City
Western District
Marijuana seized: Officers Paul McManus and Jason Thomas of the Operations Unit were in the 1100 block of Moreland Ave. Monday when they spotted a man seated in a car who appeared to be involved in drug activity. As the officers neared, the man fled on foot. In the car, police found a pound of marijuana with a street value of at least $2,000. A warrant charging the man with drug violations has been issued for his arrest.
Drug arrest: Officers Sean Hinkson and Chris Malecki saw a male, 18, allegedly engaging in drug activity Monday in the 700 block of N. Carey St. and arrested him. Jamal Copeland, of the 3700 block of Harlem Ave. was charged with illegal possession of a handgun and possession of marijuana and cocaine.
Southwestern District
Drug arrests: Members of the drug enforcement unit raided a house in the 1800 block of W. Lafayette Ave. Monday, arrested three people and seized cocaine and marijuana valued at nearly $400. Officers also seized a marijuana plant, valued at $100, and a .44 --caliber Magnum Bulldog revolver with its serial number obliterated. Dayvon Watson, 18, of the 500 block of N. Glover St.; Charles Smith, 20, of the 1900 block of Lauretta Ave.; and Taisha Smith, 20, of the Lafayette Avenue address were charged with multiple drug and firearms violations.
Drug arrest: A male, 18, was allegedly selling cocaine in the 2000 block of Eagle St. on Monday. As drug enforcement police approached, he threw 36 vials of cocaine and two gel caps of heroin onto the roof of a nearby house. Police seized $550 from the man. Shannon Bolden, of the 800 block of N. Payson St. was charged with possession of cocaine and heroin with intent to distribute.
Northeastern District
Rape/robbery: A man and woman were about to enter their apartment in the 5200 block of Moravia Road about 9 p.m. Monday when two men, one with a handgun, forced them inside, tied their hands and feet and raped the woman. The intruders fled with clothing of unknown value.
Robbery: A man armed with a shotgun robbed U-Haul Co. Moving Center in the 4600 block of Belair Road of an undisclosed sum of money about 8:30 p.m. Monday.
Northwestern District
Robbery: A man was in the 4100 block of W. Belvedere Ave. about 2:35 p.m. Sunday when three men, one with a handgun, robbed him of an undisclosed sum of money and drove away in a Ford Crown Victoria.
Baltimore County
North Point Precinct
Robbery: A boy, 11, was behind Dundalk Elementary School in the 2700 block of Playfield Road about 3 p.m. Monday when two older boys robbed him of a watch valued at $10.
Burglary: Copper wire valued at $2,000 was stolen from Avesta Sheffield Inc. in the 7700 block of Rolling Mill Road between Nov. 23 and Monday.
Cockeysville Precinct
Burglary: A lawn tractor valued at more than $8,700 was stolen Friday from an open storage area in the 1600 block of Western Run Drive. The burglary was reported Monday.
Garrison Precinct
Burglary: A television, videocassette recorder and a wedding ring were stolen Sunday from a house in the 1000 block of Flagtree Lane.
