A 23-year-old Glen Burnie woman was stabbed in the chest but escaped serious injury early yesterday during a domestic dispute. Anne Arundel County police arrested her boyfriend on a charge of attempted murder.
Stephanie Twigg told police that during an argument with her boyfriend in their home in the 200 block of McGuirk Road, he grabbed two kitchen knives and stabbed her in the chest.
She ran outside for help and was pursued and stabbed again, police said. A neighbor intervened, helped Twigg inside and called police at 12:40 a.m.
Brett Kaline Gardner, 24, was arrested about an hour later. He also was charged with first- and second-degree assault, and reckless endangerment. He was being held at the county Detention Center on Jennifer Road, police said.
Twigg was released after treatment at North Arundel Hospital for lacerations on her face, arms and chest.
