November 03, 2000

Gov. Parris N. Glendening has canceled his planned campaigning for Vice President Al Gore in Florida this morning to attend the funeral of state Trooper Edward M. Toatley.

Glendening had previously planned to miss the funeral to make the campaign swing.

He is now scheduled to join four other Democratic governors in Tennessee this afternoon to campaign for Gore on the second leg of the four-state trip. The governors are to attend events in Missouri and Iowa tomorrow.
