2nd suspect arrested in Block fatal shooting

A Charles County man was arrested last night in the fatal shooting Thursday of a man in a parking garage near The Block.

Lawrence Wilson, 31, who was charged in a warrant with first-degree murder, was arrested about 8 p.m. outside his home in the 100 block of Cambridge Road in Waldorf, said Lt. Richard C. Fahlteich of the homicide unit. He said a bail hearing was set for today.

In the Thursday incident, Jeffrey S. Croom, 30, of the 500 block of Richwood Ave. in Govans, was fatally shot about 2 a.m. on the third level of the PMS garage in the first block of Guilford Ave., police said

A dancer on The Block, Barbara Alyson Schroeder, 30, of the 700 block of Sequoia St. in Edgewood, was arrested shortly after the shooting and charged with conspiracy to commit murder.
