Dorothy L. Baird, 80, homemaker, club member

Dorothy L. Baird, a homemaker and club member, died Wednesday of complications of a heart attack at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was 80 and lived in Govans.

Mrs. Baird held executive positions in the Christian Women's Club and was a member of the Three Arts Club.

Born Dorothy Lemke in Baltimore and raised in Govans, she was a graduate of Western High School and Maryland College for Women.

In 1947, she married Samuel Baird, who died in 1988.

Funeral services were held yesterday at Govans Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by a son, Bruce R. Baird of Baltimore; a daughter, Barbara B. Shaw of Cockeysville; and a grandson.
