Realtors convention is this Wednesday at State Fairgrounds
The Greater Baltimore Board of Realtors will hold its annual convention this Wednesday at the Maryland State Fairgrounds.
The convention, which runs from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., will feature nearly 100 exhibitors, covering the latest technologies and services in the real estate profession. Continuing education courses and other activities will be available.
To register, call the GBBR special events department at 410-337-7200. Registration at the door costs $45 and includes breakfast, lunch and a late-afternoon cocktail party.

Long & Foster Real Estate Inc. reported home sales last month of $1.2 billion on 6,130 properties sold, up 20 percent from $1 billion on 5,394 properties sold in September 1999. The Baltimore region, with 51 offices, reported a 15 percent increase. The top offices were: Columbia ($19 million), Greenspring ($17.5 million), Annapolis ($16.6 million), Timonium ($13 million) and Ellicott City ($12 million). Long & Foster has sold $11.8 billion in homes through September, up 11 percent from $10.6 billion for the corresponding period last year.
