Area schools and literacy programs seek volunteers to help children and adults to improve reading skills and to assist in related projects. Among them:
Patapsco Elementary School, 844 Roundview Road, Baltimore, adults who act as reading coaches listening to children read as part of the school's participation in the 100 Book Challenge reading program.
