Story times, book clubs planned at Mount Airy library branch

The Mount Airy branch library, 705 Ridge Ave., will offer:

"Year-round Story Time" for all ages (age 3 and younger must be with an adult) will be held at 10 a.m. every Tuesday and at 11 a.m. every Friday. Stories, songs and activities will be featured. No registration is required.

Mount Airy Book Club for adults will meet at 7 p.m. Oct. 17 and 10 a.m. Oct. 19 and 26. Participants can read any book by mystery writer Joan Hess. No registration is required.

A children's book discussion group for ages 9 to 12 will meet at 4 p.m. Oct. 12. "The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle" by Avi will be discussed. Registration is required.

"Fingerprinting Identification Program" for children will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Oct. 7. A parent or guardian must be present to sign a permission slip. Maryland State Troopers will do the fingerprinting. No registration is required.

"Teddy Bear Tea" for ages 4 to 8, with Jenny Felbinger of Manners Inc., will be held at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Oct. 19. Registration begins Thursday.
