Boundary-lines meeting scheduled at 7:30 tonight

The Howard County public school system will hold the second of two public meetings on boundary-line adjustments at 7:30 p.m. today in the Hammond High School auditorium, 8800 Guilford Road, Columbia.

The discussion will cover the northeastern and southeastern areas of the county, and east and west Columbia.

Hearing tomorrow on proposed budgets

Howard County schools will hold a public hearing on the superintendent's proposed fiscal 2002 operating and capital budgets and fiscal 2003-2007 Capital Improvement Program at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow in the boardroom at the Department of Education, 10910 Route 108, Ellicott City.

People who wish to make presentations should call the executive assistant to the board in advance at 310-313-7197, or sign up at the time of the hearing.

Presenters should provide 15 written copies of their testimony at the time of the presentation.

College Fair to be held at Atholton High School

Atholton High School, 6520 Freetown Road, Columbia, will be the host for the Howard County College Fair from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 15.

More than 175 colleges and universities, military academies, and technical schools will be represented. A counseling center staffed by Howard County high school counselors will be available for questions.

Howard County parents and students are invited.
