Baltimore-based Doner Direct wins Orkin ad account

Doner Direct, the Baltimore-based direct marketing arm of the Doner international advertising agency, has won the Orkin Pest Control direct advertising account.

The account for Atlanta-based Orkin is valued at between $10 million to $15 million a year. It previously was held by J. Walter Thompson. Founded in 1901, Orkin provides pest and termite control services.

Doner, based in Detroit, is the largest independently owned advertising agency in North America, with more than $1.5 billion in combined billings.

Eisner Communications wins Farmers ad account

Eisner Communications has won back the advertising account of former client Farmers & Mechanics National Bank, which the Baltimore-based agency represented in the late 1980s.

The value of the new financial services account is yet to be determined.

Eisner has won 13 new accounts in as many months.
