Rev. Paul Murray named head of Wesley House

The Rev. Paul A. Murray of Glen Burnie has been named executive director of Susanna Wesley House Inc., a Baltimore nonprofit organization providing an interim home for women in need and their school-age children.

Murray, a minister with United Pentecostal Church International, is a former director of marketing and community relations for Hospice of the Chesapeake and volunteer chaplain with the Anne Arundel County police and sheriff's departments.

He also has been a coordinator of Just Lunch, a school-based mentoring program.

Irene Callback, who heads the Wesley house board of directors, said Murray will oversee the expansion of its ministry and "not only brings the experience, but the compassion and energy" to help reach more women and children in need "and to be an advocate for the battered and bruised, the former drug-addicted and the homeless."
