District governor speaks to Sulphur Springs Lions

Sulphur Springs Lions Club met Sept. 11 to hear from District 22-W Gov. Margarito Ochoa, who spoke on the importance of working together to help those in need.

She stressed that quality leaders and programs are needed.

The organization will announce a new program for members younger than 35 years old.

The club held a fund-raiser this month.

Homemade apple dumplings were sold. Orders for about 700 dumplings were taken.
