Civic group to hear new leader, agenda

September 21, 2000

The Harundale-Oakwood Park Civic Association will meet at 7 p.m. tomorrow at Harundale Presbyterian Church to introduce its new administration and address community concerns about the neighborhood.

Incoming President Michael Jennings promises coffee, cookies and information on planned improvements to streets, sidewalks and the two community parks.

The outgoing president, Calvin Emge, who has been a member and officer for close to three decades, will be honored, and the association will discuss plans for holiday activities.

Jennings said he hopes to form committees to address the restoration of the parks and take over the community newsletter.
