The Annapolis Symphony Orchestra begins its 40th anniversary season with concerts tomorrow and Saturday at the Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts, 801 Chase St., Annapolis.
Conducted by music director Leslie B. Dunner, the orchestra will perform Joan Tower's "Fanfare for the Uncommon Woman" and Tchaikovsky's passionate Symphony No. 4 in F minor. In between, soloist Colin Jacobsen will perform Beethoven's Violin Concerto, one of the composer's most lyrical works.
