State fire marshals investigating blaze as possible arson

September 17, 2000|BY A SUN STAFF WRITER

State fire marshals are investigating a fire they believe was intentionally set in a mobile trailer office of Shields Inc. in Finksburg just after midnight Thursday.

No one was injured. The fire was extinguished by a motorist who saw an orange glow inside the office at Todd Village Trailer Park in the 2600 block of Old Westminster Pike and stopped to investigate, fire marshals said.

Residents of the trailer park assisted the motorist, and damage was limited to $250, fire marshals said.

A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever is responsible. Call the Arson Hot Line, 800-492-7529.
