All-Metro striker Kaiser Chowdhry scored twice and assisted on another goal, as top-ranked McDonogh shut out eighth-ranked Curley, 3-0, in a rematch of last year's Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference title game at Curley.

Earlier in the week, Chowdhry had a goal and an assist against Dulaney, a game that was scoreless at the half.

Yesterday, Kevin Taylor had a goal, and Jed Prossner and Andrew Bond each had assists as McDonogh (4-1, 1-0) scored its third shutout. It has outscored its opponents, 28-4. Curley, outshot 18-5 by a team that hit the post twice and missed three open chances, slipped to 1-1-1, 0-1.

The Friars defending league champs, fell behind 2-0 at the half as the Eagles overcame the scoring inabilities that bothered them in the first half of Monday's 4-1 rout of 13th-ranked, defending Class 4A public school state co-champ Dulaney.
