The crime report is a sampling of crimes in Howard County compiled from police. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 410-313-3700.

East Columbia

Benson Drive: 8300 block, Oakland Mills. An unidentified person was observed standing naked outside a vehicle Sept. 5.

White Acre Road: 9600 block, Oakland Mills. Someone entered a vacant apartment and left food in the refrigerator. The food was discovered Sept. 6.

Phelps Luck: 5300 block, Long Reach. Two people entered a Highs store and demanded money Sept. 6. They took cash and fled.

N. Laurel/Savage/Jessup

U.S. 1: Washington Boulevard. Police arrested seven men Friday during an undercover sting operation for solicitation of prostitution. Undercover officers posed as prostitutes in an area near Whiskey Bottom Road. .

Foundry Street: 8600 block, Savage. An unknown number of people scaled the fence of Savage Mill and stole six hats and one shirt from Race One Collectibles. The items were found missing Sept. 6.

Thamesmeade Road: 800 block, Savage. A ground-floor apartment was broken into Sept. 5, and a fax machine, jewelry, cameras, compact discs and suitcases were stolen.
