The Paddocks

StoneRidge Builders & Developers, a subsidiary of Pulte Home Corp., will begin selling estate homes Saturday at the Paddocks, a luxury community in western Howard County.

The 28 homes will be situated on one-acre sites and have gas heat and hot water, and well-and-septic systems. Each home will have four or five bedrooms. Standard are a high-efficiency heating and cooling system, granite kitchen island, side-entry garage and hardwood kitchen floors.

The Compton model will open in early 2001 and have a base price of $550,000 for 4,690 square feet. The first floor consists of a two-story foyer, 17-by-14-foot dining room, 17-by-15-foot library, powder room, dressing room, 21-by-18- foot master suite, 23-by-20-foot grand room, full kitchen with breakfast nook, pantry and laundry room.

The second floor includes a 17-by-14-foot bedroom, 15-by-13- foot bedroom with walk-in closet, 14-by-12-foot bedroom with walk-in closet, two full bathrooms and a 21-by-20-foot media/game room.

Other models will include the Westford, Barclay, Briarwood, Hardwick, Wentworth, Chatsworth. They range from 3,000 to 4,650 square feet and are priced in the mid-$400,000 to mid-$500,000 range.

To get to the Paddocks, take Interstate 695 to Interstate 70 west. Go south on Route 32 and make a right on Burntwoods Road. The sales office is a quarter-mile on the right.
