Indians update

Cleveland fans will get their first visit from Mike Hargrove since he was fired as Indians manager after 8 1/2 seasons and five consecutive division titles. The Indians have won seven of 11and hold a one-game lead over the Boston Red Sox for the wild card. They are 26-18 in the second half. The Indians opened the season at Camden Yards, with the Orioles taking two of three. Colon won the first game by limiting the Orioles to one run over five innings. Rapp held the Indians to two runs over six innings in the finale. They played three more games at Camden Yards in late July, with the Orioles again taking two of three. Rapp was pounded in the opener, allowing eight runs in four innings. Woodard made his Indians debut in the second game of the doubleheader, allowing only one run in six innings but losing. The Indians never have seen Spurgeon, who is making his second major-league start. Ponson is 0-4 lifetime against them.
