What's for dinner?

Bats eat insects or fruit. Some bats eat small reptiles, too.

Going Batty!

Most bats are active at night. While flying, a bat makes special squeaking noises through its nose. When the noises sound different, this signals to the bat that an insect -- dinner -- is nearby. Then, it will scoop up the bug, using its back legs and tail to put the food in its mouth.
