Expos: Recalled C Brian Schneider from Triple-A Ottawa.

Mariners: Placed OF Raul Ibanez on 15-day DL, retroactive to Aug. 7, with strained right groin. Claimed C Chris Widger off waivers from Expos. Recalled from P Joel Pineiro from Triple-A Tacoma.

Marlins: Executive VP and chief financial officer Jonathan Mariner will leave organization, effective Oct. 1.

Mets: Activated OF Darryl Hamilton. Designated IF Matt Franco for assignment.

Phillies: Activated P Wayne Gomes from 15-day DL. Optioned P Cliff Politte to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
