A 22-year-old Pasadena man was arrested Thursday while cooking suspected crack cocaine in a coffeepot, police said.

The Anne Arundel County narcotics squad reportedly seized a small amount of suspected marijuana, a .32-caliber handgun, $165 in cash and crack cocaine during the raid of a Brooklyn Park apartment in the 5100 block of Brookwood Road.

Officers seized nearly 316 grams of suspected crack cocaine, worth about $31,000, said Sgt. Joseph Jordan, a Police Department spokesman.

"It's a pretty significant seizure," he said. "This wasn't just a few $20 rocks."

Sharniel Nathaniel Baker of the 7900 block of Delarosa Court in Pasadena was being held at the county detention center in lieu of $35,111 bail, authorities said.

He faces drug charges including manufacturing cocaine with intent to distribute.
