What's for dinner?

Mainly herbivores (plant eaters), black bears eat meat when they can.

Not a Teddy Bear

The American black bear lives in the forests across the United States and Mexico. Like most bears, it uses strong limbs to climb trees and a good sense of smell to find food during the day. When food becomes scarce in the winter, black bears find a warm, safe spot under a tree or in a cave and stay inside until spring.
