Blue Jays update

The Orioles enter SkyDome trying to halt one of the most ignominious streaks in franchise history. Including their three-game sweep against the Blue Jays May 8-10, the Orioles have lost 14 straight in Canada's Eighth Wonder of the World. Overall, the Orioles have won three of seven against the Blue Jays this season despite only 38 runs. The Jays have countered with 13 home runs in 60 innings. First baseman Carlos Delgado continues to challenge for the AL Triple Crown while hitting .359 with 88 RBIs. He had two home runs last night to tie Gary Sheffield for the major-league lead with 32 until the Dodger hit his 33rd in a later game. On the mound, David Wells remains a Cy Young favorite but there is little pitching behind him. The Blue Jays' 5.47 ERA ranks ahead of only the Orioles and Kansas City. Chris Carpenter and Kelvim Escobar are tied for third in the league with nine losses.Closer Billy Koch remains a strength.
