Two Westminster residents were arrested Tuesday on drug and handgun charges, police said.

Richard William Wiseman, 21, and Jennifer Lynn Morelock, 19, of the 300 block of Pleasanton Road were charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm in conjunction with drug trafficking.

Wiseman was being held yesterday at the Carroll County Detention Center in lieu of $15,000 bail. Morelock posted $10,000 bail and was released yesterday.

Westminster police, acting on a warrant, said they seized 6 ounces of marijuana with an estimated street value of $1,400 from a knapsack in a car rented by the couple. A small amount of marijuana was discovered in the house in a bong pipe, in addition to a small number of suspected Ecstasy pills with a street value of $300. A .380-caliber semiautomatic handgun and ammunition were recovered from the apartment, as well as plastic bags, scales and $900 cash.
