Central District

Assault: A male employee at Lucky Nail Salon in the 100 block of N. Howard St. pulled a claw hammer and struck a male co-worker in the face, head and arm about 1:35 p.m. yesterday. A third male employee picked up a chair and struck the attacker, who was charged with aggravated assault.

Theft: Someone stole $15 from a woman's purse about 1 p.m. yesterday in an office at the Abel Wolman Municipal Building in the 200 block of N. Holliday St.

Southeastern District

Burglary: Someone entered a home in the 400 block of N. Bouldin St. about 3 a.m. yesterday and stole a purse, blank checks, keys and a money order, all valued at $450. Police found no sign of forced entry.

Assault: Someone waiting at a light in the 3300 block of Eastern Ave. about 2:30 a.m. yesterday threw a six-pack of beer at someone standing on the street. A 24-year-old Baltimore man was arrested.

Assault: Two men were arguing in the 100 block of N. Milton Ave. about 12:30 a.m. yesterday when one grabbed the other by the neck and tried to choke him. The victim was not injured and no one was arrested.

Eastern District

Theft: Someone stole a headphone set, all valued at $200, about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday from a patient's room at Johns Hopkins Hospital in the 600 block of N. Wolfe St. Fifteen minutes later, someone stole a day planner, credit card and keys left unattended in a common area of the hospital.

Northeastern District

Robbery: Someone wearing a ski mask entered the Dunkin' Donuts in the 5400 block of Harford Road about 4:15 a.m. yesterday, displayed a revolver and stole an undisclosed amount of money. The man fled on foot.

Attempted robbery: Two men approached a man who was walking in the 4600 block of Harford Road about 7 a.m. yesterday. One of them displayed a revolver and both searched the victim for money, but did not find any. The men fled on foot. Police suspect that one of the men robbed the Dunkin Donuts.

Baltimore County

Woodlawn Precinct

Burglary: Someone entered a home in the 7100 block of Rolling Bend Road between 11:45 p.m. Tuesday and 1:30 a.m. yesterday and stole a sofa, a loveseat, a coffee table, lamps and a dining room set, all valued at $1,625.

Destruction of property: Two men entered a vacant home in the 2500 block of Sarrington Circle about 10 p.m. Tuesday by breaking a rear window with a brick and left through the front door.

Garrison Precinct

Burglary: Someone entered a home in the 900 block of Lindellen Ave. between 7:30 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. Tuesday using an unknown means of entry and stole $2,737 worth of jewelry.

Attempted robbery: Two men approached a man walking near Stockmill Road and Tentmill Lane about 10 p.m. Tuesday. One displayed a handgun and demanded the victim's pager. The victim resisted and the two men fled.
