July 13, 2000|By FROM STAFF REPORTS

A 10-year-old Pasadena boy was flown to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore by MedEvac helicopter last night after he was struck by a car, Anne Arundel County police said.

Kevin Williams ran between two parked cars in the 3500 block of Old Crown Drive and into the right front of an eastbound Toyota, said Officer Charles Ravenell, a county police spokesman.

The boy is believed to have suffered internal injuries, said Battalion Chief John Scholz of the county Fire Department.

Ravenell said the driver of the car, a 35-year-old Pasadena woman, tried to avoid the child. He said "there is no reason to believe she will be charged."
