Review: Is it possible to make a decent dessert with canned fruit? The answer is yes, if you're using Del Monte's flavored fruit. I conned my mother-in-law into serving Easy Raspberry Peach Shortcake - using Del Monte's Raspberry Flavored Sliced Peaches and a recipe included on the label - to a group of old friends. It was quite a hit. And it took just minutes to make. Cinnamon Flavored Pear Halves were used in Double Chocolate Pears - a fruity ice cream sundae with a hint of cinnamon. This isn't five-star cuisine. But it's definitely a step up from the usual bowl of canned fruit. Other fruits in the line include Almond Flavored Apricots and Harvest Spice Peaches.
