Md. families sought as hosts for students from Spain in August

A foreign exchange student program is looking for families to serve as hosts for 24 students from Spain, who will be in Howard County from Aug. 1 through Aug. 28.

Hosts don't need to speak Spanish and will receive an orientation the week before students arrive. Students will participate in activities during the day, and their hosts are responsible for driving them to Ellicott City in the morning and picking them up in the afternoon, although carpools can be organized.

The program is sponsored by Global Friendships and Jahva House, an Ellicott City coffee shop where students will meet for English lessons.
