Candy Stable's Time To Dream sprinted to the front and continued on to score an upset victory in the $50,000 Cumberland Stakes for fillies and mares yesterday at Laurel Park.

Joe Rocco sent the 4-year-old daughter of Time For A Change straight to the lead and rebuffed the challenges of runner-up Fickle Fanny and third-place finisher Elfin Glen. Time To Dream covered the 6 furlongs in 1 minute, 9 4/5 seconds over a fast main track.

The Tim Ritchey-trained filly paid $52.80. She topped a $149.80 exacta and a $931 trifecta.

Rocco said: "She made the lead easily with no pressure. She was really relaxed and when I asked her she just drew away."

Fans at Laurel today will be treated to a "Boardwalk Celebration" featuring summertime food items and family entertainment, and the $100,000 Fort McHenry Handicap. Eight older horses are named to start.
