Man is stabbed after confronting 2 who were accused in robbery

A 20-year-old Elkridge man was stabbed and beaten by two assailants in North Laurel on thursday, Howard coutny police said.

Police said the man was hospitalized in stable condition after confronting two men who had allegedly robbed two 15-year-old boys, one from North Laurel and one from Beltsville, of personal property and money about 7:30 p.m. at All Saints Road and North Laurel Road. about 15 minutes later, the 20-year-old confronted the men.

The victim of the attack is not being identified out of concern for his safety.

Police arrested dorsel Knight, 17, of the 9500 block of Canterbury Riding in North Laurel and charged him with attempted murder, two counts of robbery, theft, assault and reckless endangerment.

The second man suspected in the attack was being sought by police.
