MRIS Connect offers free Internet access, e-mail to Realtors

Metropolitan Regional Information Systems Inc., the multiple listing service for Realtors, is offering free, unlimited Internet access and e-mail to its clients. More than 27,000 real estate agents, brokers and appraisers throughout Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and Washington will have access to the free service, called MRIS Connect.

"We are helping to reduce our customers' business expenses and streamline their operations by providing listing data, public records, e-mail and Internet access with one dial-up connection," said Dale L. Ross, MRIS president and chief executive officer.

About 2,000 Realtors have signed on to MRIS Connect, the company said. MRIS clients can create up to five e-mail accounts at no additional charge.
