June 30, 2000|BY A SUN STAFF WRITER

A 16-year-old Odenton youth was arrested yesterday and charged with murder in the fatal shooting of a 26-year-old man nearly four months ago in Meade Village.

County police divulged little about their investigation into the shooting of Dwayne Alvin Macklin, who was found dying on a sidewalk from a single wound March 1 - nor did they divulge the exact location in Severn where the young suspect was arrested about 7 a.m.

The youth, Stanley Isaiah Johnson of the 1200 block of Baliol Lane, was charged as an adult with first-degree murder and possession of a handgun in the commission of a felony, said Sgt. Joseph E. Jordan, a county police spokesman.
