Northwestern District

Robbery: A male motorist, 32, was stopped at a traffic light in the 4000 block of W. Belvedere Ave. about 5 p.m. Wednesday when two men, one riding a bicycle and armed with a handgun, stopped next to his car and demanded his money and valuables. The motorist turned over his wallet, $85, a gold necklace and a 5-inch-long gold marijuana leaf chain, all valued at more than $700.

Theft from vehicle: Someone broke into a 1992 Oldsmobile parked in the 4300 block of Kathland Ave. on Wednesday and stole a Bursa-brand .380-caliber semiautomatic handgun with serial No. 4143297, a cellular phone and a pager, all valued at nearly $300.

Robbery: A boy, 14, was riding his bicycle in the 4800 block of Labyrinth Road about 2 p.m. Wednesday when an older male shoved him to the ground and stole the bicycle, valued at $35.

Southwestern District

Burglary: Cash and coins, all of unknown value, were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 1600 block of DeSoto Road by someone who entered through a window.

Burglary: Two televisions, a videocassette recorder, at least two leather coats and video games were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 300 block of S. Augusta Ave. by someone who entered through a second-floor bathroom window.

Robbery: A boy, 12, was walking in the 600 block of Brisbane Road about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday when he was assaulted by an older male who robbed him of a gold chain of unknown value.

Theft: After a man mowed the lawn of a house in the 400 block of N. Rock Glen Road on Tuesday, he placed the lawn mower in a shed next to the home, then stole an $800 mountain bicycle owned by the man who hired him.

Burglary: Jewelry and a leather coat, all valued at $5,000, were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 3000 block of Winterbourne Road.

Stolen car: A 1994 Dodge van with tags M258672 was stolen Wednesday in the 1100 block of Whistler Ave.

Southern District

Theft: A maroon bicycle with purple sparkles on the seat that was valued at more than $60 was stolen Wednesday from the front steps of a house in the 1500 block of Ramsay St.

Theft: After a woman purchased a money order for more than $400 at A & B Check Cashing in the 700 block of Washington Blvd. on Wednesday, she left the store without it. When she returned she was unable to find the money order.

Stolen car: A red 1991 Honda Civic with tags GYW 843 was stolen Wednesday in the 2400 block of Marbourne Ave.

Stolen vehicle: A male motorist was about to pay for fuel at a service station in the 1400 block of Key Highway about 3 p.m. Wednesday when a man entered his gold-colored 1996 Mercury with tags DTE 511 and drove away.

Central District

Theft from vehicle: A handicap driver permit was stolen Wednesday from the rearview mirror of a 1993 Pontiac Grand Am parked in the 100 block of W. Chase St.

Burglary: A videocassette recorder valued at $500 was stolen Wednesday from an apartment in the 900 block of N. Calvert St. by someone who entered through the front door without using force.

Theft from vehicle: Hand tools of unknown value were stolen Wednesday from a Ford Probe parked in the 1200 block of Hargrove St.

Southeastern District

Robbery: Police were seeking two women, one known as "China" and the other "Fattim," who robbed a woman, 50, of $20 in the 1600 block of E. Pratt St. about 9:30 a.m. Monday while threatening her with an unknown blunt object.

Baltimore County

Cockeysville Precinct

Attempted murder/man sought: Police were seeking Robert W. Askins, 36, of the 600 block of Clover Crest Way, who is charged in a warrant with trying to kill his girlfriend, Eleanor Farley, 39, in the couple's apartment about 8 a.m. Wednesday. Farley told police Askins choked her into unconsciousness and that while she lay on the floor her daughter, 11, ran to a neighbor's house and dialed 911. The woman refused treatment by medics. Police said Askins left the house before officers arrived.

North Point Precinct

Theft/arrest: A woman, 45, from East Baltimore, was arrested Wednesday by a store security officer when she allegedly tried to leave Wal-Mart in the 2300 block of North Point Blvd. without paying for a purse, pens and margarine, all valued at nearly $32.

Parkville Precinct

Burglary: Someone entered Country Plants in the 3600 block of E. Joppa Road and stole more than $500 and credit cards Tuesday night or Wednesday morning..

Garrison Precinct

Robbery: A deliveryman for Pizza City in the 7400 block of Windsor Mill Road was robbed by a gunman of more than $200 while returning to his car after delivering food to occupants of a house in the 3600 block of Langrehr Road in Randallstown about 10:0 p.m. Wednesday . The victim told police the gunman drove off in an unknown make and model green car.
