Tigers: Purchased contract of P Steve Sparks from Triple-A Toledo. Designated P Allen McDill for assignment.

Twins: Released P Sean Bergman after he refused assignment to Triple-A Salt Lake. Recalled P Jason Ryan and C Chad Moeller from Salt Lake.


Warriors: Named Brian Winters, Phil Hubbard, Mark Osowski and Clifford Ray assistant coaches.
