A fire early yesterday in Westminster that destroyed a Suzuki Samuri, a small sport utility vehicle, was intentionally set, possibly to cover up vandalism, state fire marshals said.
The blaze, which began about 4:30 a.m. in the 1100 block of Singer Drive where the vehicle was parked, was discovered by the owner's mother. The owner used a garden hose to put out the fire before volunteer firefighters arrived, fire marshals said.
