Woman and son bitten by their neighbor's dog

June 20, 2000

A White Marsh mother and her son were hospitalized yesterday after they were bitten several times by a neighbor's dog when the boy entered a yard, county police said.

Lt. Thomas Busch said when William Blackwell, 7, of the 7900 block of Dalrose Ave. entered the fenced-in yard about 3:40 p.m., his neighbor's terrier-type dog bit him on the arms and shoulders. When the boy's mother, Tommy Lynn Blackwell, 29, tried to help her son, the dog bit her on the face, arms and legs. Busch said a passing motorist, Walter T. Gill, 36, of the 3000 block of Weaver Ave. entered the yard and threw the dog over the fence and into an adjacent yard.
