Provident Bank names Vicki Cox a vice president

Ellicott City resident Vicki Cox has been named vice president in the marketing division at Provident Bank.

Cox will manage all public and community relations and oversee the corporate communications program. She served as public information administrator for former County Executive Charles I. Ecker.

Ex-Md. parole official wins Ben Baer Award

Columbia resident Jasper Clay, former vice chairman of the U.S. Parole Commission, was awarded the Ben Baer Award at the Association of Paroling Authorities International conference in Ottawa, Ontario.

The award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated significant service in the field of parole and community corrections. Clay served 16 years on the Maryland Parole Commission and 12 years on the Federal Parole Commission. He now serves on the District of Columbia Board of Parole.

Mason-Chaney will oversee Ellicott City museums

Historic Ellicott City Inc. has named Lisa Mason-Chaney as director of museums. She will oversee the Ellicott City B&O Railroad Station Museum, the Thomas Isaac Log Cabin and the Heritage Orientation Center.
