AMS holds bidding online; live auction scheduled July 10, Accelerated Marketing Services Inc.'s Internet auction site, is conducting the first online auction of bank-owned properties in the Baltimore area through July 6.

The auction, which started Thursday, allows bidders to place and track bids for 46 residential properties ranging from multifamily buildings to four-bedroom single-family homes. Opening bids range from $1,000 to $45,000.

A live auction for an additional 75 residential properties will be held at 7 p.m. July 10 at the Marriott hotel by Baltimore-Washington International Airport.

Long & Foster Real Estate Inc. said sales increased 13 percent in May to almost $1.5 billion on 7,510 properties sold. That was a record for the month and the second best monthly results in the company's 32-year history, after March sales of $1.589 billion on 8,011 properties. The 29-office Baltimore region showed a gain of 14 percent for the month with sales of more than $245 million.

Prudential Carruthers Realtors said Harriet Wasserman of its Pikesville office received the Legend Award from Prudential Real Estate Affiliates Inc. Also, the team of Wasserman, Marc Goldstein and David Desser had the most listing and sales production for its office in May with more than $6.5 million in sales volume.

The Rupert Companies LLC announced its formation as the parent company of subsidiaries Ruppert Ventures, Ruppert Properties and Ruppert Nurseries. William C. Meissner was named vice president of the parent company, which is led by its president and owner, Craig A. Ruppert.

Long & Foster Real Estate Inc. said the following Baltimore-area high school seniors have won $1,000 scholarships: Jong Andrew Hyuk Park, Dulaney High School; Morrigan Ells, Southern High School; Alison Emmert, Arundel High School; Julie Golomb, Owings Mills High School; Kelly Iman, Sparrows Point High School; Mary Stephens, Havre De Grace High School; Jennifer Zile, North Carroll High School.

Coldwell Banker Stevens Realtors said the following agents were the top producers in their offices in May: Jeannie Ellis and Steve and Ruth Orton, Annapolis; James Newcomb and Sherry Johns, Glen Burnie; and Bonnie Wolfe and Rick Bosworth, Severna Park.

PCS Homes said it raised more than $6,000 in the fourth annual Christmas in April golf tournament June 8 for the Anne Arundel County chapter of the organization, which helps needy residents with home repairs.

Coldwell Banker Grempler Realty Inc. said Shennika Simmons, Ann Snead, Karrie Hogan, Faith Seltzer and Charlene Poehlman have joined the company as full-time sales associates.
