June 15, 2000|BY A SUN STAFF WRITER

The Board of Appeals has scheduled a third hearing for a proposed child-care center that would, if approved, be one of the largest in Howard County.

Opponents, who began testifying Tuesday night, will continue to state their case Aug. 22 against Tutor Time Learning Systems Inc.'s plans to build a 10,466-square-foot facility on 2 1/2 acres at the northwest corner of Old Frederick Road and Rogers Avenue in Ellicott City.

The center would have two outdoor play areas and would serve up to 200 children.

The hearing will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the George Howard Building in Ellicott City.
