Antique boats at Maritime Museum

Dock at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St. Michaels this weekend for boatloads of fun at the 13th annual Antique and Classic Boat festival. More than 100 boaters will display their customized vessels.

Also featured will be nautical exhibits, shipping stores, flea markets, food vendors and demonstrations. Boat judging will take place on Friday and winners will be announced, but the festival officially begins with a parade at 9 a.m. Saturday.

The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum is on Mill Street. Festival hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. The festival is included in the museum admission, $7.50 for adults, $3 children. Call 410-745-2916.

Brass Band Festival

When the horns start playing in Gettysburg, Pa., on Saturday, there's going to be a good old time to be had. The third Brass Band Festival starts at 10 a.m. at the Historic Dobbin House and will go on through the day with several brass bands performing, such as the Gettysburg Brass Band, the Spires Brass Band of Frederick, the Coburn Brass Band and the Conewago Community Band. Walk around the historic district sampling music and viewing one of the famous Civil War towns. The Four Drum and Bugle Corp will perform the day's finale at 5 p.m. at the Musselman Stadium at Gettysburg College.

The Brass Band Festival on Saturday is held in Gettysburg. The day's events are free except for the "Grand Finale," tickets for which can be purchased in advance or at the gate the day of the festival for $5 a person 8 and over. For more information, call 717-334-5202.
