The Live Baltimore Marketing Center, Freddie Mac and the City of Baltimore, will sponsor a home-buying fair and trolley tour of neighborhoods in the eastern section of the city Saturday.

Trolley tours will depart every 15 minutes from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. from Baltimore City College High School, at 3220 The Alameda.

Participants will have the opportunity to tour 16 homes on four routes through 125 neighborhoods, including Southeast, Northeast, Hamilton, Patterson Park, Northwood and Charles Village. Neighborhood residents will help narrate the tours and more than 40 exhibitors, including lenders, neighborhood nonprofits and Realtors, will provide information on the home-buying process.

`The goal is to sell the neighborhoods," said Tracy Gosson, director of Live Baltimore. "We get people off the main thoroughfares and into neighborhoods they may not see. They are amazed by what they find."

The first 50 tour participants to close on a house in the region within 90 days of the event will receive a $3,000 grant toward the purchase.
