cleaner arrested in raid

ANNAPOLIS -- A cleaning service employee was arrested and 11 pieces of stolen jewelry were found yesterday in a raid at the woman's home, authorities reported.

Police said the raid in the 1900 block of Copeland St. in Annapolis was part of an investigation begun after two customers of the cleaning service reported thefts. Since then, 11 victims have been identified and 30 stolen items recovered, police said.

Arrested and charged in warrants with two counts of theft was a resident of the raided home, , Catherine V. Lee, 50. Police said Lee worked for the cleaning service, which they did not identify.
