Charges dropped against Karcher

June 08, 2000|By Brent Jones

A Baltimore County judge officially dismissed charges of assault and resisting arrest against former Temple Owls and St. Frances basketball star Mark Karcher yesterday.

Karcher was involved in an incident outside of a Rosedale nightclub last month and was charged with three counts of first-degree assault and resisting arrest. Assistant Baltimore County state's attorney Dean Stocksdale said the state decided not to pursue the case. Karcher, 21, was not in attendance at Towson District Court.
