Northwestern District

Stolen car: A 1992 Infiniti with tags HBN 394 was stolen Tuesday in the 3300 block of Bateman Ave. by a person known to the owner.

Burglary: An impact tool and metal cutting equipment, all valued at $700, were stolen Tuesday night from Johnny's Auto Shop in the 4100 block of W. Belvedere Ave. The thief placed a shopping cart next to the building, filled it with bricks and climbed atop the bricks, then onto the roof to enter the shop.

Burglary: Someone entered Family Dollar Stores in the 5900 block of Reisterstown Road through a rear exterior wall Tuesday and stole soap and other products valued at more than $300.

Southwestern District

Theft: A yellow Tomas-brand mo-ped was stolen Monday in the 2800 block of Mauldin Ave. The theft was reported Tuesday.

Eastern District

Robbery try/shooting: A man shot a boy, 16, and robbed him of more than $100 about 1 p.m. Monday in the 1700 block of Ashland Ave. The victim was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital for bullet wounds of the left arm and chest and was in stable condition yesterday.

Robbery: Three men, one with an unknown weapon, robbed a man, 53, of nearly $150 in the 1400 block of N. Eden St. about 4:30 a.m. Monday.

Central District

Theft from vehicle: Someone entered a 1998 Jeep Wrangler parked in the 100 block of W. Monument St. about 11 p.m. Tuesday and stole a duffle bag containing three electronic organizers and other personal property. A short time later, police recovered some of the property outside an apartment building in the 800 block of St. Paul St.

Theft from vehicle: A cellular phone and its accessories, all valued at $300, were stolen Monday from a 1997 Dodge van parked in the 200 block of W. Biddle St. The thief broke a window to gain entry. The theft was reported Tuesday.

Burglary: A passport, an Immigration and Naturalization Service green card and a wallet containing nearly $200 were stolen Tuesday from a 1992 Ford Explorer parked in the 1300 block of N. Charles St.

Burglary: Someone entered the bedroom window of a house in the 1500 block of Park Ave. from a fire escape Tuesday night and stole am 8 mm video-camera valued at $700.

Baltimore County

Parkville Precinct

Arrest: A man who was injured early Monday when the stolen car he was driving crashed at East Monument Street and Pulaski Highway in East Baltimore has been charged with numerous violations. The incident began about 1:15 a.m. Monday when a man tried to run down Officer Steven Mee during a traffic stop in the 8200 block of Harford Road. For more than 30 minutes, the man led county and city police in a high-speed pursuit through downtown and East Baltimore before the Jeep Cherokee, reported stolen in August in Pennsylvania, crashed. The man tried to flee on foot and, during a struggle, Officers Dan McKenna and Scott Harclerode, both of the Parkville Precinct, were assaulted. Jason Younger, 30, of Glenshire, Ohio, was charged with auto theft, traffic violations and assaulting police.

Essex Precinct

Murder try: During an argument early Tuesday outside a house in the 700 block of Fuselage Ave. in Middle River, a man held a knife to the throat of a woman and threatened to kill her. After releasing her, he ran into the house, occupied by small children. After police took the children from the house, they re-entered and arrested the man., whose name was not available.

Burglary: Someone entered the Beef Stand in the 200 block of Eastern Blvd. on Monday and removed nearly $400 that was in a freezer.

Towson Precinct

Burglary: A 19-inch television, videocassette recorder and a telephone, all valued at nearly $700, were stolen Tuesday from a construction trailer parked at Northview and Hillendale roads.

Burglary: A power lawn mower valued at $200 was stolen Tuesday from a shed in the 6400 block of Falkirk Road.

Cockeysville Precinct

Burglary: Office supplies valued at more than $1,200 were stolen Tuesday from a trailer parked behind Wal-Mart at Hunt Valley Mall.

Garrison Precinct

Stolen car: A tan 2000 Toyota 4Runner with no tags was stolen from R&H Motors in the 9800 block of Reisterstown Road between May 4 and Monday. The theft was discovered during an inventory.

Woodlawn Precinct

Burglary: A compact disc player, video games and jewelry were stolen from a house in the 5500 block of Hutton Ave. between Saturday and Tuesday. The thief entered through a basement window.

Suspect arrested: Frank Coolidge Lance, 20, who is serving a term at the Maryland House of Correction for an unspecified crime, was arrested there Monday on a warrant charging him with first-degree murder in the shooting of Robert Crosby, 31, of the 1700 block of W. Baltimore St., during a robbery June 30, 1998, in the 1900 block of W. Lombard St. Lance is being held without bond at Central Booking and Intake Center.

Victim identified: Cedric White, 27, of no fixed address, was identified yesterday as the man fatally shot by an unknown assailant Monday night at West North and Druid Hill avenues. A second man was shot in the leg and was treated at University of Maryland Medical Center.
