Western District

Shooting: A man, 48, was leaving a convenience store in the 1800 block of Baker St. about 4 p.m. Monday when he heard gunshots and fell to the pavement with gunshot wounds in his right leg and left foot. He was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center for treatment. Monday evening, police arrested a suspect in the shooting and were interviewing him at the station.

Southern District

Burglary: A videocassette recorder and three pieces of gold jewelry, all valued at more than $500, were stolen Monday from a house in the 4100 block of Fourth St. in Brooklyn. The thief may have entered through a side window.

Burglary: A gas-operated lawn mower, valued at $200, was stolen Monday from the back yard of a house in the 1000 block of Church St.

Robbery: After being called from his home in the 500 block of E. Patapsco Ave. by two men about 7:25 p.m. Monday, a man, 43, was thrown to the ground by the pair, who robbed him of his wallet containing nearly $500. The pair drove off in a burgundy Ford Taurus with unknown tags. Burglary: A portable computer, videocassette recorder, television and other property, all valued at more than $2,400, were stolen Monday from a house in the 2900 block of Hollins Ferry Road. The thief entered through a rear door.

Theft: A 1985 Yamaha motorcycle with tags 123020 was stolen Monday in the 1400 block of Jackson St.

Eastern District

Robbery try/shooting: Two men, one with a handgun, tried to rob a man, 19, in the 2400 block of Greenmount Ave. about midnight Monday. The victim was shot in the left arm when he resisted. The gunman and his accomplice fled. The victim was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Northern District

Theft from vehicle: A jacket and cash, all valued at nearly $200, were stolen Monday from a 1999 Ford Escort parked in the 200 block of E. 32nd St.

Robbery: A man, 41, was walking in the 400 block of Whitridge Ave. about 9 p.m. Monday when two men, one armed with an unknown weapon, struck him in the face and robbed him of $200 and a watch valued at $20.

Theft from vehicle: A portable compact disc player, valued a $100, was stolen Monday from a 1994 Chevrolet parked in a lot in the 200 block of E. University Parkway.

Southwestern District

Theft from vehicle: An undisclosed number of coins were stolen Monday from a Chevrolet Geo parked in the 200 block of S. Warwick Ave.

Burglary: Computer equipment of unknown value was stolen Monday from a house in the 1800 block of N. Longwood St.

Theft from vehicle: A compact disc player, valued at $300, was stolen Monday from a 1996 Hyundai parked in the 1000 block of ArionParkRoad.

Baltimore County

Towson Precinct

Robbery try: Two boys, 13 and 14, were in the 1000 block of Taylor Ave. about 8 p.m. Sunday when three older boys approached. One of the elder youths asked for change for $10, then the three assaulted the younger boys and searched their pockets for money. The assailants found none and fled.

Essex Precinct

Sex offense: A boy, 13, was arrested Monday and charged with sexually assaulting a girl, also 13, May 29 in an apartment at the Queens Purchase apartment complex. The boy was charged with a second-degree sex offense. It was not known if he was released to the custody of his parents or remanded to the Charles H. Hickey Jr. School, pending action by juvenile authorities.

North Point Precinct

Theft from vehicle: Three hundred dollars were stolen Monday from a 1997 Chevrolet Metro parked at Eastpoint Mall. The thief broke a window to gain entry.

Theft: Three hundred dollars in $1 bills were stolen Sunday from a safe at Friedman Marketing Inc. at Eastpoint Mall. The theft was reported Monday.
