Adult shop will not close at midnight tonight, attorney says

The Pack Shack will not close by midnight tonight, said the store's attorney, Howard J. Schulman.

Howard County Circuit Court Judge James B. Dudley ruled last month that county law regulating adult stores does not violate free speech. He ordered that the store close by midnight tonight.

Schulman appealed that decision yesterday to the Maryland Court of Special Appeals and said the store on U.S. 40 in Ellicott City plans to remain open.
