Missing Dundalk man believed to have fallen into area waters

An Edgemere man is missing and believed to have fallen into the waters between Fells Point and Back River during an early-morning boat trip Saturday headed for North Point Marina in Edgemere, investigators said yesterday.

Craig Keuski, 23, of the 2900 block Sparrows Point Road traveled to Fells Point in his pickup and visited area bars with friends Friday night. About 2 a.m., Keuski boarded a private, 35-foot boat destined for North Point Marina, according to city police. Six others were on board, all of whom arrived safely in Edgemere, police said.

He has not been heard from since. Anyone with information about Keuski should call the Baltimore missing persons unit at 410- 396-2334.

Humane Society plans volunteer orientation

REISTERSTOWN -- Humane Society of Baltimore County will hold an orientation for those interested in volunteering at 1 p.m. June 10 at the society's Windswept Building, 1601 Nicodemus Road.

The orientation will include a tour of the animal shelter and a description of the society's work and volunteer needs. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Duties include dog walking, cat grooming, animal feeding and clerical work. Information: 410-833-2387.

Banneker park to celebrate second anniversary

OELLA -- The Friends of Benjamin Banneker Historical Park and the county Department of Recreation and Parks will celebrate the second anniversary of the opening of Banneker Historical Park and Museum Saturdaywith a bicycle course and walking program.

The event, Banneker Tour 2000, will include 15-, 24- and 35-mile bicycle routes through the Patapsco Valley region, and short and long walking courses. The event will culminate in a celebration at the museum and historical park, 300 Oella Ave. Funds raised through the event, including a raffle and donations from entrants, will go to environmental programs at the museum and park.

Community college to hold GED preparation classes

DUNDALK -- Preparation classes for high school General Educational Development certificates will be held during a 10-week course this summer at the Dundalk campus of Community College of Baltimore County.

Two orientation classes are required for the course, Thursdayand June 6 at the Dundalk campus, 7200 Sollers Point Road.
